I watched the video again and try to follow his "Vodka accent" but failed. I know an one Chinese girl, who loves call me or talk in Skype.. Tell to trust in the first time I was really afraid I will not be able to communicate with her, because I will not able understand her.. But when we started our conversation I understood with pleasant surprising I'm able to understand her and, moreover, I can to answer her and she even understand me!*-* At least I thought in the such way - she is not a native speaker, I'm not a native speaker and that's why we can to understand each other. And what was my surprise when she told me that her first language is English and only then goes to Chinese, because from the 4 years old she lives in Australia! It meant I could to connect with native speaker normally!**
But she always tell my English is very funny and cute (she loves Russian accents) and she tells I pronounce "I'm sorry" in so Korean way~X'DD
So don't worry, we are all afraid of it, but it doesn't mean we really can't communicate with English-speakers
And our own accents make English even more charming~~XDD

When I was in primary school I started English with textbooks from HongKong, and soon I've found that there are many different points between British English and American English. I love Russian accents too~*w*~(from that video~XD). By the way, I can imitate Japanese English very well...although my English teacher fiercely opposed me to do that. Just for fun, I think Japanese English sounds really special because it sounds that they couldn't speak "r" out. Like...hmm...flat tongue? Korean English must have many common points with Japanese English, as one of my classmates--whose second foreign language is Korean--told me that Korean will speak "r" same as "l", just like what Japanese did. So I think I can imagine that "I'm sorry"...^^

And...hmm, our own way to speak English makes English more interesting. Do you know that Chinglish word--"gelieveable"? I've used in one of my diary, which means "very good" or "good job". It's from an Internet word of Chinese--"给力(geili)", and "gelieveable" is "geili" plus "able", picked up some letters from the word "unbelieveable".

I don't know either. Maybe I leart British English at primary school(you know, textbooks from HongKong~XD), but I've already mixed up...different kinds of English. And I created my own Chinglish style.^^
Language skill will improve a lot if you use it as a tool in the daily communication. Actually, I improved my reading skill by reading RoChu fanfics on FF, and I can got full marks in English Reading Examination now.=w=~Thanks to those lovely fanfics.XD

Yes we love to create our own Chinglish words.=w=~Just for fun or sometimes use it in a satire joke. Another "made-in-China" word of Chinglish is smilence, which means "smile in silence". If somebody went into a "smilence", it means that he or she knows something deeply but don't speak the truth out, just smile and pretend knowing nothing about it.

Totally agree with you.@w@~I can't imagine how can people drink Erguotou and nothing happend. Orz. Maybe because they only drink a little bit at one time, 100ml is limit line(under normal circumstances).
I remember a kind of Erguotou named "Bomb",cool name...And there also has a famous brand of Beijing Erguotou called "Red Star". Once I've seen a 58° Red Star in the supermarket, which scared me a lot. Orz
I love our own words too, and I don't like people who use foreign word if there is a ready-made Chinese word here. For example, "Donuts" in Chinese can translated as “甜甜圈(sweet-sweet circle)”, I think it's a wonderful translation. But a donuts shop near my school persists to call "Donuts" as "多拿滋", which makes me feel uncomfortable. I know donuts is a dessert origin from America and maybe that shop want to make it sounds more "fashion" and "USA style". I just can't understand why here is a better word and they just ignored it, still use the one which is more complicated and hard to understand. Orz

Mothertongue is treasure. Russian is the most beautiful language for you and Chinese is the most beautiful language for me, because it's the language which our ancestors leave for us, we should respect our own mothertongue.
I can't understand some people around me always think that English is the most important language, they even say that "English is my second mothertongue"--oh no, who can have two mothers?! O_o I get good results in English subject and reaching top during the examination, but I never think that English is more important than Chinese.
English is my tool, however, Chinese is my all.
