I promised my friend Damekko Ren to collect some information about RoChu Dramas which made by China Centre TeleVision. Yes I do love CCTV, CCTV always give us big surprise. I'm not sure if you know that in 2010's new year holiday, CCTV even showed a RoChu Fanart to people all around China...I wrote the news in my blog before.

As far as I know, there are 2 RoChu Dramas showed on the CCTV. I watched one of it from beginning to end, and another just some part.
They are: 红莓花儿开 and <猎人笔记>之谜

红莓花儿开
It is a drama for celebrate the 60th annivesary of relationship between Russia and China. I watched it from begin to end during the winter of 2009.
That was a touching story. Not only love but also friendship between young people of 1950s. Although they faced many difficulties during the lifetime, but love will never changed because the great memory will be tresured forever.



It is a sitcom and it has 30 episodes. I found several links of the first episode here:

Valya and Yimei in the drama☆
They are schoolmate in Moscow University...the story begins when those Chinese student come to Moscow for study. They spend the best part of their life in Russia, and everything becomes dramatic when they back to homeland and Valya also comes to China as a China-aid expert from USSR.



I want to say someting about the theme song of "红莓花儿开". It was soooooooo RoChu!!!

Another RoChu drama-<猎人笔记>之谜 (The mystery of <Записки охотника> )
I just know some part of story in it...it was a drama which tells a story between policeman from China and Russia. They are trying to solve the case together. The bright spot in this drama is Chinese Kungfu.

Actually I think the Kungfu in that drama is so exaggerate. Although I just know a little about Chinese Kungfu...but...but...people can't fly in real life=_=, even if you are in the park of Moscow...Orz

Ooh, I've watched it!! And as I was watching it before I went in the bed all the next night I saw the dreams about Sino-Russian relationship, really!XDD

It was very cute))) Espesially was cute, when Yimei taught her friend (I don't understand his name OTL) how tell Russian sound "Trrrrrrrr"^^ But *sigh* unfortunatly I wasn't able to understand what about all they tells the most part of the time... Oooh, why only I don't know Chinese.. And why Russian TV don't want to translate and show this for us..T_T But anyway, I like it very much))) Thank you for link!^_^ And now I know this story has a happy ending =w=

Oh his name is Liang Weiguo. The other two boys' name are Shen Yan and Zhang Tongfei.
About "Trrrrrrrr"...XD~"р" is a nightmare for many Chinese Russian learners, especially those who grow up in south just like me. In our dialect there is no "р", or any other sounds similar to it. I practised for nearly 10 months...nightmare, when speed becomes fast I couldn't handle it.Orz. So, no wonder Weiguo feels ill when he can't get this pronounciation. But people in north China seems can easily say it out, maybe the weather influenced the pronounciation.(lol)



The story of episode 1 mainly talk about the new days when Chinese students comes to Moscow University. Weiguo and Yan got in troubles because of the first oral test. The professor is too strict and everybody feels nervous when they know they have to study in his class of plane making. Weiguo failed his first oral test because of the sudden ill, so does Yan--he takes Weiguo to the doctors' and missed his test. After a discuss with professor Semyonov, they got a chance for makeup examination. Professor Semyonov asked Weiguo and Yan "Why do people twist their buttock when they are riding the bicycle". Weiguo feels confused and can't understand why he have to face such a funny question at the first test in Moscow University. But Yan thinks it may links to physical and Aircraft Technology...So they went to do experiments and observing people riding bike.(lol)

I don't know how to make subtitles for a video cut...TwT...or I can translate those dialogues for you.

I'm really sorry you!^^' By the way, this is my favorite letter from all the alphabet although I've learn to tell it only when I was 7 years old child, in fact, this letter is enough difficult even for Russians, especially for little Russians!XDD Fuuny, but even the name of our country begins from it - Rrrrrrussia!XDD

Hah, now I could get the plot of this episode somehow~=w= Thank you so much, because before I could understand very few things..OTL It's pity Russians channels doesn't want to take this drama for showing... I think many Russians young girls would be interesting to watch this..

Oh, and I don't know how make subtitles either.. But and that what you did it's already enough, thank you again!>w<

Yeah...this RoChu(or actually Churo? XD) drama have many small interesting points. In the episode 3 or maybe episode 4 (I can't remember it clearly~TwT), those Chinese students move to sharing domitory with Russian students in order to practise their daily language skill. Because of culture difference, there are many interesting things happend.

Anyway, it's a fantastic drama.^^

My favourite part of this drama is those students sharing dormitories.XD. Liang have had an interesting conversation with his dormitory friend, it shows the different attitude towards love from Russian and Chinese. I think it looks just like Ivan and Yao in debating...XD.

Yes, I'm so happy myself! I still mix up all this "ό, ō, ŏ and ò", because I can't to say it correctly when I need to say it fastly, I'm tongue-tied then...OTL There are no matter in Russian in which pronouncing we says the words, the only their meaning is important and that's why it's hard for me...TT^TT But I'm try do my best...

And I'm so happy you will be learn Russian in the University I would like to help you with this somehow, if I will be able^_^ Everything for Churo and Rochu!!

Ohh I know, you are having battle with "four tones" in Chinese. I think the tone is one of difficulty points, maybe the most for language learner. Actually I'm having battle with them too...We are reviewing our Chinese subject and sort what we studied in past 3 years. The examination standards requires us to using tones from Beijing accent--or as we all know, "Putonghua". It's a hard work for our southern students. I...I just feel that I often mix up the second tone and fourth tone, and usually can't distinguish "in" and "ing" well. Orz
Fortunately there are only four tones in Putonghua. I heard that Cantonese have nine tones...TwT~Actually I prefer Cantonese to Putonghua, but I can only say some daily words in Cantonese. It's a challenge.(lol)

With great love and passion from ChuRo and RoChu, I'm sure we can handle both languages well.

Oh, these 2 and 4 tones...OTL It's the most difficult part really and these "zhi" and "shi" is very difficult, too~*sigh* Oh, I'm learning "putonghua", too^^ And thanks God! Nine tones!O_O It will be the death for me...

About those tones...yes, it's more easier to write in Chinese than speak, I think. From north to south, ancient times to now, we use the same Chinese characters. But we speak in different ways...many-many dialects. Some dialects sounds don't like "Chinese" at all--just like some strange foreign language.XD
There is a joke that...during the WW2, our soldiers don't need to make secret signals when they are in front of the enemy. When they speak in their own dialect, then nobody will think they're speaking Chinese....

Zhi, Chi, Shi! I always mixed them up with Zi, Ci,Si...because of dialect.TwT.Sometimes I know I should pronouce "Zhi", but when I speak fast I can't control myself and then "Zi" comes out...Orz

Ooh, I even don't know.. From one side I do love to write Chinese signs very much as well as I do love to find the familiar characters in random Chinese texts, but from other side.. I almost can't to connect all these characters according to the tenor...OTL I'm fail in this..*gives up* Oh yes.. When I said about Chinese dialects to my friend we could only say "Thanks God" for there is no matter in which part you're going to moving you'll be understand residents anyway in Russia.. ^^;

How about to make a promise,dear? Maybe we can celebrate the 100th anniversary of this great day together, yes in real life.☆

Dialects are very useful to send secret information during the war time. But now in peace, it just like a...nightmare. Even only in my province, the north part where I live, people speak "Changshanese" with feelings just like argueing(It's kind of...hmm..."hot"?XD). While in the south part of my province, people have a mystery dialect which they speak Chinese but sounds really like Japanese or Korean...Orz.
I think maybe the most famous dialect in China is dialect of Hunan. Because chairman Mao was born in my province and he annouced the rebirth of new China-PRC in 1949 with his own dialect. If you have watched the video about the celebration march of 1949.10.1, you can hear his "Changshanese"--actually is "Xiangtanese",but Xiangtan has already become one with my city Changsha now. ^L^-"Become one with Changsha, da?"

By the way, I wonder whether you feels good with that pinyin--"q"? I have a penpal who live in Khabarovsk and she majors in Chinese, told me that she can only pronounce "qin" as "cin". And I watched a party on CCTV about the year of Chinese in Russia, those students sang a song and here is a piece of lyrics--"qin qin de". They pronounced it as "cin cin de". So I think maybe it's same just like I have to work hard with "р".TwT

I tell it like English "Ch" or Russian "Ч". For example 7, which pinyuin is "qi" I will tell as Чи (Chi in English) and this is not the most difficult sound for me in contrast of "zh" or "chi"...orz

I remember one thing: in my Japanese language textbook, the people for example was always "Wang-san","Wang-chan","Wang-sama"...in one word, when Chinese people appears in that textbook, his or her family name always become "Wang". I don't know why. I think "Li","Zhang" or "Zhao" have more people than "Wang", but "Wang" always gets on top. Hmm....Maybe because...Wang Yao is watching you☆

Actually Wang Yao can become a girl's name, of course there have difference in character. Yao's name is 王耀(Wang Yao) in Hetalia, and here is a name for girl as 王瑶(Wang Yao). We used to think that Himaruya-san will give girl China a name as 王瑶, but he finally make us disappointed. 王春燕(Wang Chunyan) is not a good name for girl China, I think. And most of my friends don't like it too. We still call girl China as 王瑶, ignoring Himaruya-san's stupid idea.=w=
How do you think about girl Russia's name--Anya? I used to think maybe girl Russia will have a name such as Катерина or Надежда......

Why Chunyuan is not a good name?OvO Ah, I was used to Anya because of Japanese fangirls, who make the lion's share of Hetalia art, although I would be glad if girl name of Vanya would be Maria. Ivan and Maria is so Russian names.. We even have a plant which is called by Ivan-da-Mariya..>^<

Hmm...Chunyan sounds a little bit "old fashioned". You can hardly find a girl named Chunyan these days.
Actually we may prefer Tonya than Anya. I think maybe "Tonya" and "Katyusha" are the most well-known Russian names here. Tonya is because of that famous novel, Как закалялась сталь. Every student read it because it's required by our Chinese reading subject. And Katyusha...you know, that famous song.XD

We even have a plant which is called by Ivan-da-Mariya..>^<
Really?@w@~I never heard this! Could you please show me some photos of Ivan-da-Mariya? I'm curious about it.^^

I don't know. I love Yao's name but I really don't like Chunyan's name. By the way, if you know that there is a project named "Mars 500"--several astronauts are living together doing reserch for Mars, astronauts from Russia, China, and...oh I forgot details, maybe Italy? The only Chinese astronaut named Wang Yue. And his name "Yue" can also pronounced as "Yao". I read his experience on the magazine, his struggling story during the pre-exercise in Moscow and I hope our Yao can do well in the space, safely come back after that 520 days project. So does other astronauts, good luck to them.^_^

Thanks for your pictures! I haven't see Ivan-da-Mariya before...maybe we don't have this flower. The legend is so touching...they're living a happy life as beautiful flowers, I think so.XD

Oh Wang Yue is not only Wang almost Yao, you can pronounce his name as Wang Yao...just like what we do in dialect.=w=

I love books about nature...especially those links to botany. I used to make many plant specimens when I was in senior 1...some of them are still being used by our school's biology group now. =w=~I believe in herb's lovely power, that's why I do love our traditional medicine...because those medicine are made by herbs.XD

Me too, me too!!! I used to read many many many books about ancient Chinese literature when I was a little girl, but now...I can only rememer 1/5 of it. TwT
When I was 8, I could recite more than 500 pieces of ancient poems. But now...Orz.*sign*

Pills contain harmful chemicals, but herbs do not contain those strange things. Anyway, I think my body would prefer herb than chemical pills.XD

520="wu bai er shi", and you can say it as "wu er ling" when pronounced in single words.
